Cellar

A sommelier in
your pocket.

Cellar reads any restaurant wine list and tells you what’s worth ordering. Photograph the page, get back the best value picks across price tiers, with optional food pairings. Built for dim-lit tables and lists you can’t decode at a glance.

How it works

  1. 1

    Photograph the list

Snap a photo of each page, drop in images, paste a PDF link, or upload a file. Up to 20 pages.

  2. 2

    Add context (optional)

Tell us the restaurant, what you’re eating, your budget, and whether you want red, white, rosé, or any color. Skip it all and you’ll still get strong picks.

  3. 3

    Get the picks

Three tiers — Entry, Mid, and Splurge — each with bottles that overdeliver for the price. Plus an honest ‘Skip’ list of overpriced or off-form bottles, and any lines we couldn’t read.

  4. 4

    Dig deeper, save favorites

Tap any pick for a deeper look at the producer, region, style, and what to expect when you drink it. Heart the ones you love to save them for later.

What the picks are based on

  • · Retail-to-restaurant markup, so you spot the deals.
  • · Producer reputation and vintage quality.
  • · Lesser-known bottles that punch above their tier.
  • · Honest call-outs on bottles to avoid — overpriced, weak vintages, or coasting reputations.
  • · Food pairings, if you tell us what you’re eating.

A few notes

  • · Cellar is opinionated. It’s calling the bottles your sommelier friend would call. Treat picks as a starting point, not gospel.
  • · Hard-to-read handwriting and tiny prices can throw off any reader. We’ll flag anything we couldn’t make out.
  • · Your scans and favorites are private to your account. Photos are stored in your own folder with row-level security.
